Hello, my name is Joanna. *^v^*

I work using different techniques. In the past it was pencil and mix media - on canvas I placed fabric, paper and other pieces of everyday life, covering them with pencil, ink, wax, acrylic paints. Nowadays I concentrate on watercolour paintings. I use highest quality watercolour papers (Hahnemuhle, Saunders Waterford) and professional paints (Daniel Smith, White Nights) to achieve the best results for the art to last and thrive.

My inspirations come from the surrounding reality of colours and textures, also from the mysterious underwater world and its inhabitants - that's the main theme of my current works. There is a special place in my art for the travel journal and urban sketches, I document places I travel to and the feelings they evoke.

Apart from painting I also love different crafts, I sew my own clothes, I knit, I do Japanese sashiko embroidery, I cook, I collect ABJ dolls and make outfits for them, I hug my two cats all day long. My hands are busy all the time! *^o^*
